Join NACo for an educational forum on the role of counties in shaping our energy independent future and how it can help secure our nation’s economy and natural environment.

Goals of the forum:

  • Understand the county role in moving the nation toward an energy independent future;
  • Develop goals, policies and plans for local energy strategies;
  • Discuss current strategies, challenges, and emerging opportunities with an eye toward economic development and job creation; and
  • Learn the latest resources, tools, and best practices to meet your energy goals.

Discussions and information will focus on challenges and opportunities in this accelerated issue area. Conversations will be structured in a roundtable format that will allow all attendees to network, brainstorm, and learn from each other.

Topics will include:

  • Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies
  • Alternative Fuels and Vehicles
  • Economic Development and Job Growth
  • Energy Infrastructure Development
  • Emissions reductions and environmental benefits
